Recognized for Healthcare Advertising
Agency Receives Healthcare Marketing Report Gold Award
for Mercy
Medical Center
KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 1, 2007 - McCormick
Company has earned a gold award for healthcare advertising
by the Healthcare Marketing Report, the leading publication
covering all aspects of healthcare marketing, advertising
and strategic business development.
McCormick received the award for a newspaper advertising series featuring
Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines, a 900+ bed hospital with three campus locations
and 25 family care and specialty clinics in the Des Moines area. The hospital
also maintains a network of healthcare facilities in 16 rural communities.

The “Excellence. Every Day in Every Way” campaign, featuring
Mercy Medical Center CEO Dave Vellinga, reinforced Mercy’s position as
a leader in providing comprehensive, quality healthcare services. The campaign
created internal excitement and external buzz with media and physicians.
The 24th annual Healthcare Advertising Awards were sponsored by Healthcare
Marketing Report. A record number of 4,300 entries were received, making the
awards the largest, as well as the oldest and most respected healthcare advertising
awards competition.
A national panel of judges reviewed entries based on creativity, quality,
message effectiveness, consumer appeal, graphic design and overall impact.
Gold awards were given to less than 10 percent of the entries.
